Gerald “Gary” Reynolds made his final journey on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on November 24, 1939 in Hastings, Michigan, the son of Kenneth and Helen (Edmonds) Reynolds. Gary was an amazing father and grandfather to his kids and grandkids. The family shares fond memories of camping and many family vacations. He was well known for his favorite things, which were his family, his love for his friends, and the dignity in which he treated all those that crossed his path. Gary enjoyed all things outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He started his career at Greensmith’s Florist and as a farm hand in Augusta, MI. Eventually he made his way to Clark Equipment Company and completed his career after 20 years as a waste water treatment engineer at Denso, in Battle Creek. Gary leaves to cherish his memory, his bride of 50 years, Judy (France) Reynolds, as well as his children, Sondra Kelso of Corpus Christi, Texas; Stacy Reynolds (and Ray Esseltine) of Battle Creek, MI; son Ken Reynolds, also of Battle Creek. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Arianna and Emily Reynolds and grandsons, Kyle and Jacob West; He also leaves behind his sister Shirley (Dave) Eldred, from Hastings. Other family members include Tom Walaskay, Todd (Donna) West; and dear family friends Chuck (Judy) Bradley as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers, Steve and Roger Reynolds. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Urbandale Seventh-day Adventist Church, c/o the funeral home.
