The family will greet and visit with loved ones on Tuesday January 16th, 2018 from 4p to 7p at Hartford United Methodist Church located at 425 East Main Street in Hartford, Michigan.  Bruce’s funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Hartford United Methodist Church, with Pastor Ryan Wenburg officiating, followed by a graveside committal service at Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, Michigan.

Age 55, passed away at Bronson Commons Assisted Living in Mattawan, MI on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, surrounded by his family and wonderful Bronson Commons’ Staff.  Bruce was born in Paw Paw, MI. 12/23/1962, son of Robert and Georgia Ann (Sousley) Heuser.  He was a wonderful son to his parents and brother to his siblings.  Bruce was extremely loved by his nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  Bruce graduated from Lawrence High School.  Bruce was very proud to be the first Eagle Scout of BSA Troop 197 in 1979.  His father, Robert, a/k/a “Mr. H.” and mother, Georgia “Mrs. H.” were Scout Masters for over 20 years.  He enjoyed entertaining his friends and family as a ventriloquist with his “sidekick” Hank.  Bruce a very social, kind, loving person with many friends.  His love for sports cars and NASCAR and other classic cars were apparent in many aspects of his life. Though health issues restricted him during the last years of his life, he was constant in his laughter, pranks, jokes, love and joy. Bruce was an inspiration to all who knew him, and his loving kindness will live on in the memories and hearts of his family and many friends.  Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Robert Heuser, sister, Marjorie Heuser, Aunt Gari VanGalder and Uncle Kenneth Heuser, as well as his grandparents. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Georgia Ann Heuser, siblings Marcia (Jerry) Hoke and Melanie Henderson, aunts and uncles, William Sousley, Gertrude Sousley, Gayle (James) Crandall, Gladys Thompson, Chris Sousley and Wallace Heuser.  Bruce will also be remembered with great love by nieces and nephews, Meghan Phelps, Kristen Reed, David Reed, Charles Henderson, Kaitlyn Henderson, Lisa Hoke and Danielle Fletcher, as well as his great-nieces, nephews and many cousins.   Many thanks to Bronson Commons staff, who cared for Bruce and loved him so well.  Rest well in God’s hands, dear Bruce, you fought long and hard and ran your race with grace and joy.
