Age 68, passed away at Bronson Hospital on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 10, 1948, the daughter of the late James and Clare (Langway) Hike. Linda had a great personality and was a joy to know. She loved making friends and playing games. She especially enjoyed going to the casino, playing a game of cards or Bingo. Linda always stayed active taking trips up north, antique shopping or playing a round of golf. She also enjoyed solving a difficult crossword or playing “Words with Friends.” Linda had a great smile and personality and she will be missed by all who loved her. Above all she loved her family and leaves them with many wonderful memories. On August 31, 1990, she married David Slocum who survives. She is also survived by four children, James (Denise) Holewa, Jackie McFarlen, Tammy (Stephen) Nottingham, Brian Slocum; nine grandchildren, Devin and Jillian Tapia, Andrew, Dylan and Claire McFarlen, Christopher, Emily, Tyler Nottingham, Nathan Slocum; three great-grandchildren; two siblings, Deb (Howard) Nieboer, Sherry (Scott) Miller; nieces, nephews and friends.
