Age 54, passed away suddenly from natural causes at his home on January 24, 2018. Mike was born on May 1, 1963 to Dr. Gordon and Marcella (Koning) DeBlaey in Bellflower, CA. He was a proud graduate of East Grand Rapids High School and a longtime member of Shawnee Park CRC, where he ran the video recording of services for many years. Mike was an avid movie buff and loved classic rock and roll. A loving son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend, he is survived by his parents, Gord and Marcie DeBlaey of Grand Rapids; sister, Mary (Bob) Jackson of Kalamazoo; nieces and nephews, Phil Jackson (Anna Dowell) of Cairo, Egypt, Ellen Jackson of Grand Rapids; Drew (Caitlin) Jackson and their daughter, Simona, of Ann Arbor; and Griffin (Colleen) Jackson of Chicago, IL; many cousins and loyal friends.
