Age 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2018 under the care of Wings of Hope Hospice in Allegan, Michigan. Richard was born on July 14, 1943 in Lansing, Michigan. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Donna (Campbell) Newcomer. Richard owned and operated Newcomer Construction for 15 years. He was a talented man who also enjoyed working for the telephone company, as a cemetery sexton and as an auto mechanic. Richard married Eleanor Atherton on January 15, 1971 and they recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. Together, their daughter, Linda (Brian) Stuieve was born, who currently reside at Gun Lake, Michigan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jarred and Kaitlyn Stuieve. Richard also leaves behind to cherish his memory, his siblings, which include his twin brother, Robert (Sandy) Newcomer of Portage, MI; his Step Sister, Barbara of Lansing, and his half brother, Terry, of Florida, along with several nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in law.
