So many good memories of Vi and her many kindnesses when we were raising our pre-schoolers. We were next-door neighbors only a few years but they were fun years due to her gentle and generous spirit and her sense of humor; we stayed in touch for many years, even though I moved away from Kalamazoo. We had "coffee" often with all the neighbor ladies, while our children played together. We shared our favorite recipes and the puzzles of how to raise our children to become good citizens. Vi had much wisdom to offer along with her spirit of cheerfulness and peace. She loved her birth family, her children, and her beloved husband, Doug. She and Doug did everything together, enjoyed each other's company, and were truly devoted to each other and their families. Now she is at peace in the presence of Jesus.

Doug and family I am sorry to hear of Violet's passing. As her and I are cousins I will always remember her doing Genealogy of our family. She and her husband travel many places looking for information about the family. She made up several family genealogy books and gave them to relatives. She was a kind and thoughtful lady. We had so much fun when we were growing up, spending many a Sundays playing at our Grandparents farm. Violet got me interested in Genealogy which I am so thankful that she did as I have continued on trying to find information about the family. Rest In Peace Violet and I will miss you.
