Audrey Ruth Russell a devoted wife, and mother entered her eternal rest on May 15, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She spent her life tending to those she loved and served the people in her life as an example of God’s grace. She was friend to many and treasured by all who knew her. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, James Russell on June 27, 1949, in Pocahontas Arkansas, and would have celebrated 73 years of committed and enduring love. During her life she was known to be a homemaker but had countless adventures with James. They set out as migrant farm hands and followed the crops from state to state. Their journey even brought them to Chicago where they owned and ran a restaurant. While their labors were varied their integrity and excellence was evident in all they did. They settled in Michigan where they laid down their roots. Beyond all she accomplished, her true legacy is the life she lived dedicated to God. While she had much joy in her life she said goodbye to many that she loved including her late parents, many siblings, her Great Grand Son Timothy Reece, Daughter- in- Law Lora Russell, and Son Mark Russell. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind; Her husband James Russell, Children James (Mike) Russell, Deborah (Steve) Mitchell, and David Russell. Her Grandchildren: Jody Reese, Steven (Heather) Mitchell, Erick Mencarelli, Rebecca (Marlon) Southall, Audrey (Sonny) Singh, Susan (Eliud “Kip”) Tuwey, Karen (Nicholas) Boyd, Kimberly Russell, Joshua Russell, and Amelia Russell. She also leaves behind 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren along with many other beloved family members and friends.
