I’m said to hear of the passing of Betty but I know that Richard received her with open arms and the years of love they shared. Although out of their lives due to my career in the Air Force I was best man for their marriage, babysat both Shannon and Susan when they were young, and visited Dick and Betty between assignments. I pray that the family will always hold on to the love that Dick and Betty gave to all levels of their family. Rest In Peace with the Lord. Stan Bixler, class of 56.

It is with heartfelt sadness that I send my sorrow for everyone’s loss. It is hard to grasp how fast time has past. The memoir video and picture of Betty brought back so many memories. Seeing everyone was a treasure. I especially want to send my love and prayers to Darlene and “Cuddles”. Your loss of Betty will be difficult but know that she will be with you in spirit while she joins the family angel team. God Bless each of you today and each day forward.

May God bless you and lift you up at this time of sorrow, Darlene and "Cuddles". Just before I started my military career, your dad gave me some excellent advice on leading soldiers and I am glad to say I followed it because it was true. If the scriptures are true (and they are), you will have the opportunity to see Betty again and enjoy her companionship as part of the promised resurrection. Bonnie, John, and Jerry have passed on but Mary Ellen is still doing well and will be visiting with me and my family here in Virginia next week. -- Butch Lott
