Age 66, passed away at her home on March 20, 2022. She was born in Kalamazoo on November 5, 1955, the daughter of the late William “Beany” and Barbara (German) Ruimveld. She remained a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo community. Bonnie worked hard for many years at the KPH. When not working she enjoyed traveling to the Upper Peninsula and spending time with family. She was artistic and creative. Later in life she found a love for watercolor and enjoyed painting lighthouse and other landscape scenes. She also was gifted at crochet and cross-stich which she often spent time doing. Above all Bonnie loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her warm smile and hugs will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her loving son and daughter, David Bere and Helena Redmond; grandson, Dylan Tuinier; great-grandson, Drew Tuinier; siblings, Dixie Hawkinson, Edward (Jayme) Ruimveld, Theresa (Gus) Davilis, Cheryl Thompson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in passing by her brothers, William Treadway, William Ruimveld, and Michael Ruimveld; stepmother, Barbara Jean Freemire.
