Age 68, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 9, 2022, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Bruce was born in Niles, on June 28, 1953, the son of George and Audrey (Brown) Borden. He graduated from Niles High School and attended Lake Michigan College, where he received training in medical x-ray tech. He worked for many years as a welder. Bruce was a poetic person who enjoyed the arts and music. His musical interests included his gift of playing any instrument but especially the guitar.  Singing around a bonfire is a past time that will be remembered by his loved ones. He loved camping and enjoyed telling stories. People instantly felt welcomed in his presence. He was a hands-on kind of guy, especially when it came to raising his children and grandchildren. Bruce is survived by his children, Lia Borden-Anderson, Angela Brewer, George Paul Borden, Anthony Borden, Ian Borden; step-children, John, Sonja, Ashley, Michaela; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Borden; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends, including his special friend, Jill Rolfs. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, George Borden Jr.
