We are the next door neighbors of Calissa's classroom, and she was a frequent visitor to our room. One of our students who rode the bus with her mentioned that she always stepped on the bus with a huge smile. That's one of the recurring themes in our discussions about Calissa- her great smile, and silly sense of humor that always made us laugh. She was a kind and caring friend, and an absolute favorite of Stanley, the YAP dog- he loved her! She will be greatly missed, and her spirit will be kept alive by her friends in our class. We will hold Calissa's family close in our hearts, with sympathy and supportive wishes. RIP, dear girl.
