A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Kalamazoo Free Methodist Church, 931 W. Maple St., Kalamazoo, MI 49008. A private committal service with military honors took place at Comstock Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the American Kidney Fund.

Age 83, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 28, 2019. Dale was born in Gibson, Missouri on September 24, 1935, the son of the late Clarence W. and LaVeda L. (Kerr) Scott. He served his country honorably in the United State Army and was employed by Eaton Transmission for 28 years. Dale was a long-time member of Westwood Church of God and his family was always the focal point of his life. On March 4, 1955, he was united in marriage to the former Mary A. Shrout, who survives. Dale is also survived by his children, Anna “Lori” (Gary) Goodsell and Rodney Scott; grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Hernandez and Leeanna Scott; great-grandchildren, Carson and Jason Hernandez and Emiliah and Miah Scott; brothers, Clinton (Judy) Scott and Kenneth (Judy) Scott and sister, Brenda Scott. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Scott.
