Age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 5, 2017. She was born in Hastings, MI, on February 18, 1930, the daughter of the late Everett and Marguerite (VandenBosh) Tuttle. Dorothy was a quiet and classy woman. She loved being at her home in the country where she could be outdoors in her garden. She was a fantastic cook and had a cherished collection of family recipes and cook books. The food she made was always shared and enjoyed. Dorothy was very crafty and enjoyed doing crochet, collecting dolls and making doll furniture and clothes. She also had a vast deer ornament and decoration collection. Dorothy was a gentle soul who had a kind heart. She will be missed by all who loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Sue (Tom) Kubicek, Steve Salik and Linda (Joe) Coonrod; daughter-in-law, Deborah Salik; six grandchildren, Paul Coonrod, Sarah (Kelli) Salik-Olma, Katie Salik, Kim (Dan) Clafton, Missy (Mike) Phillips, Andy (Bekah) Kubicek; three great-grandchildren, Collin and Myles Phillips, Edison Clafton; four siblings, Larry “Jim” Tuttle, Virginia Fox, Alice Hanover and Leona “Cookie” (Jim) Beilfuss; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Pinkerton Brown Allen; a former husband, Joseph Vance Salik; a son, David Joseph Salik; a grandson, Benjamin Coonrod; a brother, Harley Tuttle.
