Age 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 after a life-long battle with multiple medical ailments. Joyce was born in Kalamazoo on July 28, 1934 to the late Dewey J. and Pearl E. (Ellard) Polmateer. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda, Donald, Bob and Karen Polmateer and the father of her children, Charles E. Ready. She was a retiree of the James River Company. Her family was always at the center of her world and her greatest gift was the love she gave to her children, grandchildren and entire family. Joyce is survived by five children, Jacqueline Craft, Kathy Rangel, James Ready, Carrie Bertrand and Shelly Ready; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Connie (Phil) Hoogenboom and numerous nieces and nephews.
