Age 87, passed away at Park Place Assisted Living on Saturday, April 16, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Okemos, MI, the daughter of the late Cassius and Irene (Turau) Roosa. Mary was a kind, gentle and gracious woman with a bright smile. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Mary was a hard worker who did her best to provide a happy home for her family and all were made to feel welcome there. When not working she loved to take trips to the beach, travel to Florida and the Ozarks. She enjoyed birdwatching and was especially fond of hummingbirds. Mary had a selfless personality, and she always went out of her way to help others. Above all, Mary loved her family and friends, and she was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. On March 15, 1954, she married the love of her life Kenneth E. Tyler who preceded her in passing on April 22,1996. She was also preceded in passing by three brothers, Donald, Robert and Russell Roosa. She is survived by five children, Teressa Foster, Kenneth L. Tyler, Melissa Tyler, Lauretta Tyler, Kevin Tyler; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother Gerald (Lynn) Roosa; many other family and friends.
