Age 58, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Patti was born in Rome, New York on June 1, 1960, the daughter of Morris and Florence (Capponi) Pope. Patti was a faithful and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and being active in her church community. Patti also loved taking trips to Mackinac and had a special affinity for the Mackinac Bridge. She was an avid reader as well as a board and card game enthusiast. On August 19, 1978, she was united in marriage to Neil C. Roe who survives. Patti is also survived by her sons, Neil, Jr. (Ashley) and Nicholas (Elizabeth) Roe; nephews, William, Majid and Lance; and special cousin, Jodie Pope. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, step-father, Frederick Hill; brother, Morris Pope, Jr. and sister, Mary Kay Pope. Patti retired from Kalamazoo Public Schools where she worked as a paraprofessional at Spring Valley Elementary for 20 years.
