Age 72, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 Shirley was born in Kalamazoo, on April 19, 1947, the daughter of Leonard Cornelius and Margaret B. (Dolph) Blett. On July 9, 1966, she married John Arnold who survives her. Shirley was an avid bowler and enjoyed going to her children’s softball games and their cookouts. She looked forward to her family vacations. She will be remembered as being a loving wife, mother, “Memaw”, sister, aunt, and softball mom. Besides John, she is survived by her children, Ron Arnold, David (Missy Britten) Arnold, Robin (Matt) Dean; Step-sons, John (Chere) Gundrum of Union City and Chris Bowers of Kalamazoo and special daughter, Sheila Dennany of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Felicity (Joey) Connell, John (Alyssa) Gundrum, Danyal Gundrum, Eric Haas, Jacob Hamilton, Corbin Arnold and Amelia Dean; several great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Linda) Blett of Kalamazoo; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special extended family, She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father in law; and brothers, Robert Wayne Blett, Jackie Eugene Blett.
