In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Her cremated remains will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jim, on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Schoolcraft Cemetery. A celebration of her life will follow at 11:30 AM at Paw Paw Eagles, 63237 M-40 Hwy, Lawton, MI 49065.

Age 81, passed away at home on Thursday, May 11, 2017 with her family by her side. Shirley was born in Cadillac, Michigan on October 7, 1935, the daughter of the late George and Violet (Henry) Yager. On December 6, 1952 she was united in marriage to James T. Sharp, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1994. Shirley was also preceded in death by three sons, Robert, Ronald and Mark Sharp; two brothers and three sisters and her beloved cat, Buttercup. She is survived by her children, Gayla (Buddy) Parker, Tom (Bobbie) Sharp, Lucy (Jeff) Farrow, Dorothy (Paul) Moran and Ilene (Howard) Oswalt; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and sister, Patricia Yager.
