September 10, 1929 - July 11, 2024

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Foundation of Michigan or to the charity of one’s choice, in c/o the funeral home.

I just learned of Shirley's passing. Shirley and my mom were in bridge club together for years. She was a remarkable woman and so much fun.

Your mom was the best! Also, quick with a witty comment, full of compassion and love. Her time volunteering at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum with us was amazing! She was truly one-of-a-kind. I know she will be greatly missed!
