Age 62, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Steve was born in Portage, Michigan on July 26, 1958, the son of the late Howard J. and Bertha M. (Peterman) Bos. He was a graduate of Portage Central High School and was employed at Balkema Excavating for many years. Steve was a kind and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his kids and granddaughter and they were always at the center of his life. Steve was also an avid fisherman. On June 5, 1982, Steve married the former Rebecca K. Mattimore, who survives. He is also survived by his two sons, Ryan (Rachel) and Justin (Darcy) Bos; granddaughter, Sawyer June Bos; brother, Doug (Sue) Bos; sister, Karleen Doorn and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister in-law, Sandra Bos and brother in-law, Doug Doorn.
