Age 59, passed away peacefully at Kairos Dwelling Home on Monday morning, May 31, 2021 following an extended illness. Todd was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on November 27, 1961, the son of Gordon and Kay (Ballett) Jones, of Kalamazoo. As a 1980 Kalamazoo Central High School graduate, Todd was known as “The Protector”, always standing up for the underdog and was a very sweet, shy man. Todd enthusiastically embraced sports of all kinds, collecting baseball and other sports memorabilia, including hockey and football. He was quite an athlete himself, participating in the camaraderie of football, baseball and wrestling. Todd is survived by his beloved parents, Gordon and Kay Jones, of Kalamazoo, his brother, Tim (Jill) Jones, also of Kalamazoo, nephews Ryan (Jenna) Jones and Shawn (Gillian) Jones, as well as great nephews, Jordan and Connor and great niece Allison. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
