HOLBROOK, Anthony E., Sr. “Tony”

Age 59, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Tony was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 30, 1963, the son of the late Felix D. Holbrook and Martha LaVerne Stevens. He attended Michigan Career and Technical Institute and earned his Electronics Technician certificate. Tony spent most of his career working as an Electronics Technician in the automotive parts industry. He loved his family and especially loved to spend time with his children. Tony was an avid fisherman, enjoyed music and loved basketball and football. On March 28, 2003, he married the love of his life, the former Antoinette M. Tobin. Besides his wife, Tony is survived by his children, Anthony E. Holbrook II, Anthony Holbrook, Jr., Courtez E. Holbrook, Clayton D. Appleman and Timothy R. Veysey; his siblings, Johnnie-Mary Chauncey, Duane J. Holbrook, Antoinette L. McCrary, Felix D. Holbrook, John L. Holbrook, Patrick E. Holbrook, Rebecca L. Gayle and Rita V. Holbrook-Nance; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The memorial service to celebrate his life has been postponed until further notice.
You are my best friend and I love you to the stars, I will cherish my memories with you always. There are no words for the sadness and loss I feel. You have been the greatest father, husband, brother and friend. You were dedicated, devoted, and worked very hard to provide the best life possible for our family. You’ll have my heart until the end of time. I’ll see you in the stardust, baby.
