A service to commemorate Barbara’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick Street, with Pastor Greg Van Heukelom officiating. Friends may call on the family at the funeral home one hour prior to the service beginning noon. Interment will be at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Obituary
Age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Barbara was born in Excelsior Springs, MO, on May 16, 1939, the daughter of Clarence and Jessie (See) Snyder. Her husband, Daniel G. Cook, preceded her in death. Barbara is survived by her children, Kimberly (James) VanDenBerg of Mattawan and Cameron (Davina Hill) Cook of Hartford; grandchildren, Corey (Abbey) VanDenBerg of Schoolcraft, Shelby (Brent) Weurding of Paw Paw, Zach (Merisa) Korstange of California, Cassie Korstange of Grand Rapids, Austin Korstange of Grand Rapids, Hailee Miskowski of Lawrence; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Gary (Jane) Snyder of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Class mates sending prayers and thoughts to the family. Barbara was well known and well liked by all.
Barb was a wonderful member of Beta Sigma Phi in Kalamazoo. She was an inspiration to many of us. Her humor will be missed. Gail Smith
