A Celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 1:00 p.m.– 3:00 p.m. at the family residence, the home David built. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
David E. “Maddog” Meyers, Age 68, passed away on Thursday morning, July 28, 2022. David was born in Kalamazoo on May 20, 1954, the son of Lewis and Elaine (Bennink) Meyers. On July 26, 1985, he married Jerri Lynn Nichols who survives him. He worked for many years in the construction industry as a proud union member of Iron Workers Union #25. David was a great outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He loved his home. Nothing was more important to him that his family. Besides his wife David is also survived by his daughters, Mariya (Harold) Gravatt of Sault Ste. Marie; and Elisabeth (David) Pine of Sault Ste Marie; step-children, Hunter Sillaman, Jeff Yeasley, Kellie Wright; grandchildren, Kyle and Marina, Maya, Madison, Jake, Wyatt, Waylon and LeAnna; brothers, Paul (Mary) Meyers and Jim Meyers; nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Meyers.

I grew up near David and his family, a wonderful hard-working family. I remember Dave was a great prankster and always had a ready smile. He loved fast cars and loud engines and was a good teacher. When his cousin Susan (Meyers) Woerner texted my sisters and me, that David had passed, I was saddened. May God surround his family and friends at this time of great loss and sorrow. Rest in peace, David.
Dave and I grew up together and we had a lot of fun deer hunting, duck hunting and going to the races Rest In Peace Mad dog . And may God’s grace and mercy surround your family in this time of sorrow. Dennis Roberts
