Linda J. Morrison
December 31, 1949 – August 2, 2020
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and a private graveside service will be held for Linda at Mount Everest Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, John. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics of Michigan, care of the funeral home. Friends and family are encouraged to leave a condolence message.
Obituary
Age 70, passed away on Sunday, August, 02, 2020. Linda was born on December 31, 1949 in Elmira, New York, the daughter of Leslie A. Stevens, Sr. and Leola Carroll Noordermeer. Following high school graduation, Linda worked in a variety of vocations, but found her greatest joy being a homemaker and mom. She had a love for church, music and going to movies. She was married to Richard “John” Morrison, Sr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother Leslie A. Stevens, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory beloved children, Johnny Morrison and Stevie Morrison, as well as her brother, Guy (Rose) Stevens of Portage, Michigan, brother Gary (Betty Sue) Stevens of Virginia and sister, Dianna (Ken) Pierson of Florida, her baby brother, Richard Stevens, sister-in-law, Angela Stevens, many nieces, nephews, special friends, and her favorite in-laws.
Linda will be sorely missed. She was always ready with a big smile to anyone she saw. She was so happy to be in church every week. She eagerly attended any and every activity that was going on, including a trip to the Creation Museum and Noah’s Ark. She was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit at Life Changing Ministries, a time for everyone to remember. She is now resting in peace, knowing that her Lord and Savior is Jesus Christ.
Linda was a light in our lives. She adopted me as her little sister. I miss her terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and that God grant you peace during this difficult time.
I am going to greatly miss Linda and her bright smile every week during bible study, and church. Even not feeling well she still enjoyed being around her church family and sharing laughter. I will think of her often with a smile in my heart.
Linda was an amazing person. She took me in when no one else would she helped me get on my feet she was an amazing friend and a second mom to me. She is definitely missed
So much to say, but I’m at a loss of words. Our world will never be the same. I’ll do my best to take care of the guys. Miss you already. You will never be forgotten.
