Age 82, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Marlene was born in Kalamazoo on October 9, 1936, the daughter of the late Albert and Ellen (Palmer) Hazen. On March 3, 1954, she was united in marriage to George P. Lockner, who survives. Marlene is also survived by her son, Steven Lockner; son-in-law, Barry Anderson; granddaughters, Stacey, Rhea and Brittany; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Victor Mantell. She was preceded in death by her children, Phillip Lockner, Barbara Anderson and Debra Hardin; two brothers and two sisters.

I have known Marlene and George for 25 years, first at Dr. Kawamura’s office and then at Dr. LaPennas office. Marlene was always so friendly and no matter how bad she felt, she was never cross with me. It was always a pleasure to see them both. My prayers and thoughts are with you, George, today and always.
Your fellow veterans at American Legion Post 36 are truly sorry for your loss. Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember our dearly departed and Marlene will never be forgotten.
We are so sorry to hear of Marlene’s passing. We’ve known her for over 50 yrs, she was beautiful inside and out. You will be greatly missed by many. Mike & Marcie McNett
