Age 32, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Robert was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 21, 1991, the son of Philip and Patricia (Allen) Stickels. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School where he was a recipient of the Kalamazoo Promise. Robert was active in Little League, Boy Scouts and soccer during his youth. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals, especially for dogs and cats. Robert was an empathetic person, always caring for others. He inherited the same engineering skills as many of his family members and was an accomplished machinist. Robert loved to play video games. He is survived by his father, Philip Stickels; mother, Patricia Stickels, brother, Philip (Lacey) Stickels, Jr.; sister, Amy Lynn (Paprocki) Daye; nephew, Ryan Daye; aunts, Cindy (Steve) Watanabe and Jackie Stickels; uncles, Timothy Stickels and Barry Stickels; and many cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Elsie Stickels; maternal grandparents, Donald and Shirley Allen; uncle, Robert Allen; aunt, Sandra Allen and cousin, Tommy Watanabe. Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be given to the Gryphon Place or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

My baby brother… gone far too soon. I’m so glad you are no longer suffering and were able to give another chance at life to others with your passing. My heart breaks daily. I love you so so much and always will. 🙁
