The family will receive friends during a memorial visitation on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at North Park Reformed Church, 1316 Barney Rd. Kalamazoo, MI 49004. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the church beginning at 11:00 am; family will receive visitors one-hour prior beginning at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be given to North Park Reformed Church or Michigan State University Turfgrass Research Fund, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 47, passed away at Beacon Hospital in Kalamazoo on July 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Plainwell, MI, on August 10, 1977, the son of Richard and Donna Jo (Whitwam) Fisher. Tim was a kind and loving man who had a wonderful smile and was a joy to know. He graduated from Plainwell High School, Class of 1995, where he excelled in sports and making memories. On August 16, 2003, he married the love of his life, Theresa (Harrington) Fisher and they began to raise a family soon after. Tim was blessed with two loving daughters who were the light of his life. He worked hard to provide for his family as a landscaper; his attention to detail and joy of the outdoors made Tim great at his job. When not working he was a loyal MSU fan and spent most Saturday afternoons rooting for the Spartans. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and taking family vacations to Disney World. Tim was selfless with his time, and he served as a volunteer fireman for Alamo Township for fourteen years. His faith was nurtured in the pews at North Park Reformed Church where his smile and handshake will be missed on Sunday mornings. Above all Tim loved his family and friends. Though passed from this world too soon, he leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived, filled with humor, love and joy. Tim is survived by his loving wife Theresa; two daughters, Ashley and Hailey Fisher; parents, Richard and Donna Jo Fisher; brothers, Dan and Steve Fisher; many in-laws, extended family and friends. He was preceded in passing by his father-in-law.
I’ll always remember the last time I saw Tim was just outside the Magic Kingdom, our eyes met and I was instantly transported back to the good old days. He was visiting with his family and I just happened to be in the right spot at the right time piloting ferry boats. I gave him a big old hug in disbelief to see a friendly face from back home.
