Age 82, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 surrounded by his family. Hank was born in Cleveland, OH, on October 15, 1937, the son of Manuel and Francisca (Baladez) Becerra. After the death of his father, he was raised by his mother and step-father, Rodrigo Vaquera. Hank proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He worked as a pressman for General Motors and retired after over 30 years of service. Hank enjoyed bowling. He liked traveling, especially up north. Hank had a special life-long partner and friend, Mary Riefel, who preceded him in death in 2018. He took great care of her during her illness. Nothing was more important to him than family and he enjoyed spending time with all of them, but especially the grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Anthony Becerra of Battle Creek, Angela Thompson of Kalamazoo, and Mark Becerra of Portage; step-children, Alan Riefel of Kalamazoo, Steven Riefel of Kalamazoo, his former wife, Nedra Forsea of Portage; grandchildren, Adam Bent, Alicia (Antonio) Aguilera, Jaycob Becerra, Austin Thompson; great-grandchildren, Antonio Jr., Dalia, and Fabrecio; brother, Mario (Vickie) Becerra; several nieces and nephews. Beside his friend Mary, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alphonso, Manuel, Arthur, Samuel, Robert, and John Becerra; sisters, Eleanor Cooper, Gloria (Sally) Kelly, Virginia Gilbert; A private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park. |
