Delbert A Lamson, age 92, passed away at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek, Michigan from complications connected to COVID-19 on February 6, 2021.
Del had four children, Lynn who died in infancy, Mark, Kim and Charles, along with grandchildren, Josie and Luke. He was beloved by many friends and extended family.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War. Del worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company for his entire career. He was known as a kind-hearted person who was beloved by everyone he met.
Del was a lifelong University of Michigan fan who enjoyed camping, gardening, sitting around a bonfire with friends, rock collecting and in the last few years, socializing with friends and staff at the Outback Steakhouse on Westnedge Ave in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He was a devoted Lutheran, baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Del was also a charter member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Battle Creek, Michigan. He gave of his time to his faith through maintenance and service projects.
