March 30, 1947 - April 19, 2021 Burial Date: April 24, 2021 A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Prairie Baptist Church, 11210 E PQ Ave. Scotts, MI 49088, beginning at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Tom Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to SPCA of Kalamazoo, c/o the funeral home. |

Age 74, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2021, at Rose Arbor with family at her side. She was born in Decatur, Alabama on March 30, 1947, the daughter of Elcanna and Martha Lee (Puckett) Roberts. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be missed by all those who loved her. From an early age she learned the value of saving and of hard work. She was a practical person who believed if it could be fixed it was worth saving. She had a passion for helping others and was a natural caregiver. Alice’s heart and home were always open to those in need, and all were welcome. She was most happy when surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was an involved grandmother and was passionate about being at all the family events. She was a great storyteller and always shared fond memories of her youth. She was employed as a housekeeper and always took pride in her work. When not working she enjoyed spending time in her gardening or working on her crafts. Above all Alice loved her family and friends and she leaves them with the legacy of a life well lived! She is survived by two children, Lisa (Dan) Homrich and Robert (Dawn) Kemp; six grandchildren, Dan Homrich Jr., Katelyn (Jonathan) Briegel, Jonathan Homrich, Nicholas (Corinne Prichard) Kemp, MyKenzie (Seth Hyde) Kemp, Morgan Kemp; five great-grandchildren, Heidi Homrich, Garrett Smith, Dan Homrich III, Harrison Homrich, Joshua Homrich; mother, Martha Hall; siblings, Charles (Betty) Eston Roberts and Connie (Ronald) Bell; step-siblings, Janet (Lee) Hendrix, Joyce King and Joan (Jerry) Bowman; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in passing by her father, Elcanna; siblings, Wanda Roberts, Roger and Mark Hall; a stepfather, John R. Hall; stepsister, Jaqueline Harper. |
