Age 74, passed away at Rose Arbor Hospice on Monday evening, June 14, 2021 following a lengthy illness. Dan was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 25, 1947, the son of James H. and Frieda (Buetler) Eddington. Dan dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He had many passions and hobbies, including target shooting. He was quite a marksman and enjoyed rifle shooting at the Kalamazoo Rod & Gun Club, where he was a Board member for many years. Dan was an expert at re-loading and making his own ammunition. As a family man, he and the family would spend time camping at Yankee Springs, as well. Dan was employed as a printer at the Upjohn Company and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. On December 22, 1967, Dan wed the former Judy DeVries, and they enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage prior to her death in July of 2017. Besides his beloved wife, Dan was preceded in death by his parents, a baby brother, James Dennis Eddington and his uncle Ed Buetler. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Randy (Melissa) Eddington and Jennifer (Jim) McCarthy, along with his grandchildren, Deanna Fagerness, Sarah (Justin Rozema) Fagerness, Elizabeth (Collin) Prideaux; and great grandchild, Asher Prideaux. |
