Age 85, passed away on June 16, 2021 following a brief illness. John was born in Jackson, Michigan on December 11, 1935, the son of Arnold and Aletha (Smith) Teinert. John was an extremely talented musician and excelled at piano, organ, trumpet and the accordion. He often volunteered his talents on Memorial Day every year, making his rounds to the local cemeteries for their Memorial Day Services. John enjoyed all sorts of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. He and his wife, Sydonna loved to volunteer at the Caring and Sharing Thrift store in Homer, an organization that helps the needy. On November 29, 1958, he married the love of his life, Sydonna Jean Hale, most recently celebrating 63 years of marriage. John worked at the Calhoun County Road Commission and retired after many years of dedicated and loyal service. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brother, Arnold Teinert. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sydonna, their children, Shelby Hale and John Teinert, three beloved grandchildren, six amazing great-grandchildren and his brother, Richard (Lee Ann) Teinert. |
