Age 74, passed away on July 2, 2021, at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born in Kalamazoo on January 9, 1947, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Axtell) Kloosterhuis. She graduated from Portage High School, Class of 1965. She would remain in Michigan and was always proud to call Portage her home. Karen was kind, gentle and caring. She was a hard worker who enjoyed taking care of her family. She was an avid reader and was gifted at knitting and other crafts. She believed in the Lord and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Above all Karen loved her family and was especially fond of her grandchildren. She leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family and friends to cherish. On July 25, 1980, she married the love of her life Charles Clemens who survives. She is also survived by five children, Doug Clemens, Jill (Jon) Lutke, Melanie Kalenko, Beth Cronk, Jason Clemens; five grandchildren, Griffin, Karsen, Hope, Kayla, and Carolynn; sister, Sandra; brother, Everett; her best friend, Charla Richmond; many in-laws and friends. |
