Age 82, passed away early Thursday morning, August 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Andrew was born in on August 26, 1939, the son of the late Rex and Margaret (Wuerfel) Orr. He grew up on the family farm in Southwest Michigan where he learned to love the simple things in life. He was raised Lutheran and always had faith to see him through. He attended Mendon High School where he played football and made many lasting memories. During that period, he also enjoyed spending time at Fishers Lake. After graduating, he attended Western Michigan University but left early in 1962 to enlist in the Navy. He served our country with honor until being discharged in 1966. He returned to Michigan and on March 3, 1967 he married the love of his life Marilyn Duncan who preceded him in death on February 4, 2022. Together they would raise four loving children and see their family grow to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Andrew was a true family man and was always working hard to make a happy home for those he loved. When not working he enjoyed following WMU, UofM and Detroit Lions football. Above all Andrew loved his family and friends and he leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. His smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Kellie Ruimveld, Michelle (Gary) Johns, Rex Orr and Randy (Rachel) Orr; grandchildren, William (Lynnzi Trease) Ruimveld, Brent (Aleisha) Ruimveld, Gabe Clark, Taylor Johns, Joshua, Courtney and Kyle Orr; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
