Passed away at Vineyard Assisted Living in Texas Township, Michigan on November 26, 2022. Rich was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on February 17, 1933, the son of the late William and Bertha (Drolet) Randall. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a salesman for the Mead Paper Corporation where he earned several sales awards and retired after 26 years. He was a member of the BPOE Lodge #250 in Manistee, MI and the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #268 in Mattawan, Michigan. Rich was an avid outdoorsman for most of his life and enjoyed hunting and fishing in and around the Manistee National Forest. He was an accomplished golfer and never passed up the opportunity to entertain his friends with a casual or competitive round. Rich was a “dyed-in-the-wool” University of Michigan sports fan, attending many games in person, and never missing a telecast. He passed down his love for both the card game cribbage and the game of golf to multiple family generations. In 1953, he married Lorene Crouse, who preceded him in death in 1957. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, William, Phillip and James Randall; and a granddaughter, Brie Craig. On May 15, 1959, he married Dorothy Marie (Geresy) Randall, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Robert (Patricia) Randall, Gloria (Billy) Simmons, Glenn (Christine) Randall and Mary Larsson, eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. |
