A memorial visitation will take place at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff at White Oaks Assisted Living of Lawton and StoryPoint of Portage for the care and compassion they showed to Greg. Memorial contributions may be given to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

Age 60, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Greg was born in Oxnard, California on May 20, 1963, the son of the late Robert and Nancy (Roose) Banfield. He was a 1981 graduate of Portage Central High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in 1996. Greg worked as a quality manager for FEMA Corporation and Weber Specialties. He was an avid race car enthusiast and loved snowmobiling and water skiing. On November 22, 2005, Greg married Sally Esman who survives. He is also survived by his brothers, Brad and Scott Banfield; sister in-law, Sue (Dan Wolfe) Esman and brother in-law, Edward (Suzie) Esman. Besides his parents, Greg was preceded in death by bother in-law, William Esman.
