Jamie A. Landry

Age 44, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Jamie was born in Alpena, MI, on June 24, 1979, the son of Joe and Sandy (Seguin) Landry. Jamie attended Western Michigan University and had worked for several years as a courier for FedEx. He loved all sports and was a huge fan of Michigan State University teams. Jamie was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church for many years until moving to the Kalamazoo area for college. Jamie is survived by his children Brooklyn James Landry and Christian Joseph Landry who were his pride and joy. Jamie strove to make every moment a teachable moment for them, whether it was teaching them to cook, play chess, fish and most of all how to be the best they could be. Besides his children, Jamie is survived by his parents, Joe and Sandy Landry of Alpena; his brother, Tom (Jen) Landry of Spring Lake; nieces, Maddy, Nora and Rosie; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and countless lifelong friends, including his second mom, Kate Hoppe. Jamie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chet and Joyce Seguin and Norm and Gloria Landry; and an uncle, Bobby Seguin.
