Age 75 of Portage, passed away September 16th, 2024. He was born to the late Russell and Rose (Selmecy) Van Atti in Kalamazoo, Michigan on December 24th, 1948. John served in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. John was an avid reader who enjoyed intellectual conversations with family and friends. These conversations would cover many topics such as history, politics and science. John loved to laugh, having a good sense of humor. John was a caregiver who took care of his mother in her final years of life. John is survived by one sister, Margo Bridges. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Hamlin and Mary Sperti. John is survived by many extended family members and friends wo will deeply miss and remember him. | |
