Deborah L. Winegar

Age 71 of Portage formerly of Gate City, VA, passed away early Thursday morning, September 18, 2025. Debbie was born in Kingsport, TN on January 20, 1954, the daughter of D.B. and Norma Jean (Odham) Long. On April 15, 1979, she married Glen “Tosh” Winegar who preceded her in death in 2016. Debbie made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with the friends she made since moving to Portage a couple of years ago. She had a beautiful, thick southern accent. She loved spending time with her family and always made time for them. Debbie is survived by her son, Kelly (Melissa) Winegar of Kalamazoo; grandson, Zachary Winegar; sister, Brenda Winegar; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides her husband, Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; and several siblings.
