In accordance with his wish, Dennis will be cremated, and private family remembrances will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Transitions Hospice Care or White Oaks Assisted Living, c/o the funeral home.

Age 81, of Watervliet, MI, passed away at White Oaks Assisted Living on October 18, 2025. He was born in Watervliet on January 17, 1944, the son of the late Ralph and Louise (Baker) Smith. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Watervliet where he made many friends and was always proud to call it home. He was a hard worker and did his best to provide for those he loved. When not working he loved being outdoors, fishing or riding his motorcycle. He was an avid pool player and participated in many competitive events. Above all Dennis loved his family and he will be missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Holly Gibson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Sandy (Richard) Radtke; extended family and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a son, Keith Smith.
