Age 90 of Plainwell, passed away Saturday morning, January 17, 2026. Barbara was born in Homer, MI, on May 15, 1935, the daughter of John Arthur and Veeta I. (Labar) Hoag. On August 9, 1975 she married Charles Wayne Bickings who preceded her in death. She was a member of VFW Auxilary Comstock Post #6252 and Plainwell Church of Christ. For many years she worked for Brown Paper Company. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing with Charlie. She also liked going to the casino. More than anything she liked hosting parties on holidays for family and friends. Barbara is survived by her daughter Sharon (Tom) Honeysett; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister, Judy (Bill) Wells; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Glenda (Jack) Hamlett; sisters, Shirley Gidding, Nancy Harford, Sandra Hamlin, Patricia Morris. | |
