Melvin G. Marsley, Jr.

Age 85 of Portage passed away Friday January 16, 2026, at Beacon of Kalamazoo Hospital. Melvin was born November 15, 1940, in Kalamazoo the son of Melvin and Mildred (Carter) Marsley. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and retired from the Upjohn Company. He was a Ham Radio operator and enjoyed making cards out of photos, music and played violin and guitar. Surviving are his long-time companion, Evelyn Dimkoff; two sons, Bruce Marsley, Jeff Marsley; three grandchildren, Andrew, Christina, Justin; sister, Doris Oldenburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mike Marsley.
