Age 88 of Kalamazoo, formerly of Middleburg, VA passed away late Thursday afternoon, February 5, 2026. Patsy was born in Fauquier County, VA on September 27, 1937, the daughter of John Thomas Furr and Mabel (Carter) Furr Thompson. On January 27, 1957, she married Hunter E. Rose who preceded her in death in 2013. She was a long-time resident of Middleburg, VA before moving to Kalamazoo in 2016 to be near her daughter. Patsy was an avid quilter. She was a member of Marshall United Methodist Church of Marshall, VA. She was very proud to live independently. She loved her home in Kalamazoo and enjoyed working in the yard. Patsy is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Stephen) Haase; grandchildren, Jason (Brianne) Rose, Josh Rose, Emily (Jacob) Namenye, Ashby (Bek) Rose, Reilly Malpass, Aubrey Haase, Cameron Haase, Drake Haase, Ellie Haase and Fletcher Haase; great-grandsons, Hunter Rose, Caleb Rose, Declan Rose, Silvious Rose, Keegan Namenye, Lucas Namenye; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides her husband, Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, including her stepfather, John Thompson; sons, Barry Rose, Garry Rose, Larry Rose; sister, Mabel (Wesley) Ballenger. | |
