A service in witness to God’s grace in Julie’s life, will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St. Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family on Wednesday evening, May 20, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Mountain Home Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Memorial Contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center, in c/o the funeral home.

According to God’s perfect plan, Julie Marie Reinholt, age 83 of Kalamazoo transitioned into eternity on Wednesday afternoon, May 13, 2026. Julie was born in Dearborn, MI on October 10, 1942, the daughter of Walter and Marie (Lockwood) Ellerholz. On August 25, 1962, she married William L. Reinholt who survives her. They celebrated 63 years of marriage. She had worked for many years in retail at Montgomery Ward and later at Menards, but her main focus was on raising her family. Her greatest legacy is her family. She will be remembered as a kind and soft-spoken wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who brought warmth and love to everyone around her. She especially loved Christmas! Decorating, shopping for gifts, and creating special memories for her grandchildren. She also found great joy in planting beautiful flowers. She and Bill enjoyed spending time together in their retirement. Julie was a member of the Kalamazoo Protestant Reformed Church. She is no longer suffering and she is now in the presence of her Savior. Besides her husband, Julie is survived by her children Lori (Robert) Clarke of Rochester Hills, MI, Todd Reinholt of Westland, MI, Shelly Pearce of Bristol, VA, Wendy Roe of Commerce Twp., MI, Kristi (Matthew Molitor) Tyler of Kalamazoo, Traci (Scott) Spada of Kalamazoo, Bill Reinholt of Kalamazoo, Patti (Kevin) O’Neal of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Ariel Smith, Kenedi Smith, Julia (Seth) Davis, Parker (Hannah) Roe, McKenzi Roe, Natalie (Brady) Woodward, Joseph Spada, Katelyn Spada, Elyse Reinholt, Billy Reinholt, Lennon O’Neal, Declan O’Neal; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Patricia) Ellerholz and Rick Ellerholz; sister-in-law, Pattie Ellerholz; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Julie was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, including her special Nana, Emily Lockwood; sons in law, Paul Roe, Steven Tyler, and Don Pearce; brothers, Alan Ellerholz and Gary (Jerri) Ellerholz; her in-laws, Snorri and Pauline Reinholt; brother in law, Richard (Doris) Reinholt; sisters in law, Pat (Don) Neely and Judith Pappas.
