Thomas E. Zuidema

Thomas Eugene Zuidema, age 78, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away at his home on May 11, 2026. He was born in Kalamazoo on December 2, 1947, the son of the late Harold and Barbara (Klepper) Zuidema. Thomas graduated from Parchment High School Class of 1966. He remained a lifetime resident of the Kalamazoo area and began working as a driver for Central Refrigeration and KLLM Trucking. When not working he had many hobbies and activities which kept him busy. He was an avid golfer and loyal NASCAR fan. His greatest joy came from being a father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Thomas’s smile and laughter will be missed by those who were closest to him. He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, James (Barbara) Zuidema and Laura (Don) Thurman; grandchildren, Bethany Zuidema, Cole (Brittani) Zuidema, Brianna Zuidema, Brody Thurman; great-grandchild, Otto Zuidema; two sisters, Carolyn and Janice; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a brother, David Zuidema.
