Age 66, passed away early Monday morning, July 29, 2019. Ed was born in Kalamazoo on November 4, 1952, the son of Albert Edwin and Viola (Worden) Merchant. He loved traveling and playing golf. Ed was an avid reader of mysteries and had an interest in history and ancestry. He is survived by his husband/partner of 36 years, Steve Burhans of Kalamazoo; a sister in law, Ginger (Pat) Burnham of Scotts; brothers in law, Jerry Burhans of Kalamazoo and David Burhans of Espanola, NM; 4 nephews; 1 great-niece and 3 great-nephews; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Robin Merchant, and a brother, Jeff Merchant. | |
