His family moved to Allegan, Michigan, where Richard graduated high school, a member of the class of ‘61. Richard was a Journeyman Millwright for General Motors, retiring after 32 years of dedicated service. He was married to Christina (Flowers) on May 23, 1997, most recently celebrating 24 years of marriage. Richard enjoyed golfing and traveling; he and Christina spent many winters in Gulf Shores Alabama, Lake Havasu, Arizona and both Conroe and Rockport Texas, most recently spending summers on Sugar Island in Sault Ste.
