November 15, 1958 - December 8, 2021 A funeral service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 13, 2021, beginning at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Michael Samuels officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 to 12:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. |

Age 63, passed away at Medilodge of Portage on December 8, 2021. Mary was born in Kalamazoo on November 15, 1958. She had a kind smile and gentle nature which made her a joy to know. She had a strong faith in the Lord and enjoyed attending the Seventh Day Adventist and Kalamazoo Missionary church. Mary was a loyal Detroit Tigers fan and could often be found cheering her team on during the summer. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mary was a loving sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by those who knew her. She is survived by five siblings, Donna Mock, Cindy (Michael) Samuels, Tim (Cheryle) Alfieri, Jim Alfieri, David Alfieri; nephew, Michael (Jamie Thielke) Mock; great-nephew, Parker Thielke and longtime companion, Maurice Bartells. She was preceded in passing by her parents, James and Leah (Boekeloo) Alfieri; stepmother, Ruth Alfieri and a brother, Robert Alfieri. | |
