Age 49, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Sandy was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on December 6, 1972, the daughter of Patrick R. and Muriel J. (Pipe) Springer. She was a graduate of Loy Norrix High School. Sandy had a life-long disability, but she never let that get in the way of living life to the fullest. She enjoyed competing in Special Olympics and spending time with her family. Sandy is survived by her mother, Muriel; brother, Kevin Springer; sister, Bambi Selner; nieces and nephews, Anika and Evan Springer and Whisper, Gena and Marko Selner and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick and her brother, Jason Springer. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Voyage Church, 6339 Atlantic Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49009, on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM, Pastor Dave Bruininks officiating. Private interment will take place at Portage South Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bronson Health Foundation.
